Used with the Clover Needle Mat, appliques are easy with this tool—all it takes is a light punch. Ideal for attaching appliques to knits. No thread or glue needed and both sides look good.

Used with the Clover Felting Needle Tool, this mat and its deep brush-like surface enables smooth and easy needle punching into your base fabric.

Mat measures approximately 6.25cm x 8.75cm.

These batts, sometimes also referred to as prefelt or needle felt, are crafted from the finest Merino wool.

Felbi can be wet or dry felted. For feltmakers, these batts eliminate the need to "layout", allowing you to spend more time on your design. It can be wet felted in the same way as you would felt wooltops. Felbi gives a smooth, even finish when felted. It easily integrates other fabrics, silks and yarns through processes feltmakers call 'nuno felting' or 'laminating'. Dry Felting involves using felting needles manually or with a sewing machine embellisher that has felting needles fitted to it.

Felbi is a great product for creating felt 'yardage' for garment construction and a lifesaver when having to teach felting to students. The density of the Felbi does vary somewhat (an industrial limitation) but it is approximately 75 gsm (grams per square metre). These batt needs to be felted. It does not have enough structural integrity in its original state to use as a finished textile.

The Niddy Noddy makes a 24" (60cm) skein (hank) and its clever design allows you to slip the two halves apart so it can fit into your spinning basket for easy portability. Comes in a nice lacquer finish.

This standard hand carder is suitable for most fibres (72 point).
