Our dyeing workshops allow students to create their own exotic hues and designs.

Felting Class: 26 Sep 2006
With the special placement and blending of materials such as wool tops, a felted piece of fabric is created that is soft but sturdy. This can then be embellished further with hand/machine embroidery and turned into an amazing array of items such as bags, elegant stoles, vests, and fabric sculptures.

In our Introduction to Felting class taught by Pamela Farmer, students learn the basics of felting and produce vibrant items.

Mixed Media: 09 Oct 2006
In our Mixed Media: Landscape or Seascape workshop, textile artist Marilyn Townsend showed students how to create scenery using a variety of media and techniques such as painting and freehand machine embroidery.

Painting in Stitches: 26 Sep 2006
Using colour and technique, students in our Painting in Stitches class learned from Pamela Farmer how to work their sewing machines like Picasso's paintbrush.

Wild Wire Necklaces: 26 Sep 2006
These stunning necklaces were produced by students in one of our Wild Wire Necklaces classes conducted by Carole Redlich. Intricate pieces of jewellery were created from found objects such as stones and shells, and further embellished with sparkling beads, wire and glass.
